In addition to the overhaul, refurbishment and repair of existing plants, Blohm+Voss offers construction and conversion of power plants within the engine services department. This includes both emergency power plants and combined heat and power plants between 500 and 3,000 kW.
Through the shipyard infrastructure, a variety of services can be offered to customers from a single source. Tailor-made solutions via various specialist departments give customers an individual and customised system. It enables the shipyard to reduce interfaces and costs to a considerable extent. Customers are supported from the planning phase right through to the turnkey decommissioning and recommissioning of the plant.
Due to the fact that the shipyard is not reliant on any one manufacturer, the team chooses the optimal engine selection based on customer requirements and take into account all the necessary conditions. For more extensive power plants with additional peripheral development, for example boiler plants, special piping construction, steel constructions or special container construction, the shipyard has in-house departments, which can be drawn upon for their expertise within industrial or tank build services departments.
